All walks are circular unless otherwise stated. If a footpath, stile or access issue should come to your notice for

reporting, please go to the 'Footpath Issue' link for writing out a report.

 

Please note to only park in a pub car park if you intend staying for lunch. Other parking is usually available nearby.

Tillingbourne Watershed - The source is the Tilling spring near to Leith Hill flowing north to near Wotton, then west to the River Wey at Shalford waterworks. On the one side of

watershed all streams flow into the Tillingbourne, whilst on the other into other rivers. Broadley the route goes on the sandstone to Leith Hill then via Wolvens Lane to the North

Downs and back to Guildford by the North Downs Way. The whole route is about 27 miles long and will be done in 4 stages

 

     West Sussex Literary Trail Stage 1

     For anyone travelling to Horsham by bus or train please make your own way to join us at the

     lake approx. 1100 hrs. However you must advise the leader in advance to ensure sufficient

     transport is available at the end of the walk for all participants.

     Lunch Stop at The Red Lion in Slinfold.

 

Notes regarding London Olympic Walks & West Sussex Literary Trail Walks:      
In the event of exceptionally inclement weather these walks may be postponed / rescheduled.      
Also, as this programme was prepared in Dec. 2011 it would be advisable to check with leader on above tel. nos. that walks will proceed as published.
Please note that these walks have not been walked out in advance. Pubs have not been checked so carry emergency rations in case they are closed.

London Olympic Walk - stage 2              
 Return from Kings Cross to Roehampton by number of buses. If in possession of Oyster Cards or bus passes, it will not be necessary to purchase a travel card.
Contact the leader in advance if you would like to share a car journey to Roehampton.  Plenty of free on street parking will be found on the eastern side of 
Roehampton Lane or around Putney Heath. Please note that this walk has not been walked out in advance.  Pubs have not been checked so carry emergency.

London Olympic Walk - stage 1              
Return to Roehampton by a number of buses. If in possession of Oyster Cards or bus passes it will not be necessary to purchase a travel card.

This walk has not been reconnoitred so bring emergency rations in case no suitable stops for coffee, lunch & tea.      
London Olympic Walk - stage 3              
Either meet Oxshott Station at 09:15 where 1/2 price “groupsave4” tickets will be purchased in advance with prior contact with the walk leader.
We will take the 09:31 train which arrives at Waterloo 10:07.            
Or make your own way to meet the group under the clock at Waterloo Station at 1015 hrs.   Please have a travel card which will be used today.
Owing to potential difficulty of meeting up with the group it is not recommended that participants go directly to Kings Cross.    
Note - free toilets will be found half way down platform B/C on Waterloo East Station or pay to use toilets on the main station.
